I am driven by colour, texture and exploration of shapes and am hopeful that by sharing I will drive myself into further developing my work.
CFR Art is the name I have chosen for me, my art, and is the name I have chosen to paint under. My name is Colin Free, I am 67 years of age and live in Kuranda, Queensland, Australia. I have been painting part time for roughly 30 years; more seriously but still part time, for the last 10-12 years.
My full-time profession is teaching but as I move closer to retirement from that field, I am spending more and more time painting.
My art style is abstract and occasionally impressionistic. I am an avid scholar of art and have been fortunate enough to have visited a number of major galleries around the world. I am sharing this as I explore my own pathway into my art.
